Leading suppliers of minerals have been quick to sign up as exhibitors at Compounding World Expo 2018. In recent weeks Magensia GmbH, Mondo Minerals and Reverte Minerals have all booked booths as the floorplan now begins to shape with a variety of Materials and Machinery manufacturers.

Minerals of many types are useful tools for modifying the properties of polymers, as well as optimising cost effectiveness by replacing a portion of the resin or fibre reinforcement. Minerals can also reduce warping, improve barrier properties, or add flame retardancy. Formulators should be aware of what these functional fillers, such as mica, talc and calcium carbonate, can do.
