Dimitris has a background in materials science and 16 years of experience in polymer engineering through his PhD and work as a researcher. Over the last 6 years, his focus has been on organic polymer additives and the benefits they can bring to the plastics industry in terms of product performance and sustainability improvements. His main interests are in food packaging plastics, improving production efficiency and developing additive solutions for mono-material packaging to increase circularity. In his current role, he leads innovation projects in the aforementioned areas mainly and preferably together with customers to bring tailored solutions to their current needs, but also the future needs of the wider plastics industry.
