The launch of Compounding World Expo and Plastics Recycling World Expo in 2018 in Essen, Germany received an overwhelming positive response from the plastics industry. The co-located events created a marketplace for stakeholders from across the supply chain to make new connections, source innovative technology and grow their business. Attendees came away from this event energised from 2 days of networking and learning.
The exhibition hosted over 180 exhibitors demonstrating their latest technology and services from every part of the plastics supply chain from raw materials to end-of-life solutions. Visitors had a combined purchasing budget of over €4.6 billion.
Running alongside the exhibition was the Compounding World Expo and Plastics Recycling World Expo conference, where speakers demonstrated their expertise on the biggest issues facing the industry and their predictions for the future.
President & CEO
Yves Carette graduated from the Solvay Business School (Brussels, Belgium) in 1980 as Business Management Engineer. He started his career as Auditor with the Grant Thornton Belgian associate firm, then moved to the Renault Trucks division in Belgium as controller.
In 1986 he joined the start-up team of Ampacet Europe (Messancy Belgium) as Finance and Administration Manager. After the move of the European Headquarters to Luxembourg, in 1995, he became the European member of the Ampacet corporate strategy and development committee.
Since then, he held several important positions throughout the world:
- Director of Global IT & International Finance – Tarrytown, NY (1999 – 2001)
- General Manager South America – Buenos Aires, Argentina (2001 – 2007)
- General Manager Asia – Rayong, Thailand (2007 – 2012)
- Vice-President & CIO, Managing Director Asia – Tarrytown, NY (2012 to 2014)
When Bob DeFalco announced his retirement, early 2014, he was promoted to the position of Executive Vice President. He became President & CEO the 1st of April 2015.
