The launch of Compounding World Expo and Plastics Recycling World Expo in 2018 in Essen, Germany received an overwhelming positive response from the plastics industry. The co-located events created a marketplace for stakeholders from across the supply chain to make new connections, source innovative technology and grow their business. Attendees came away from this event energised from 2 days of networking and learning.

The exhibition hosted over 180 exhibitors demonstrating their latest technology and services from every part of the plastics supply chain from raw materials to end-of-life solutions. Visitors had a combined purchasing budget of over €4.6 billion.

Nordson Polymer Processing Systems

Polymer is a universal and versatile material. We at Nordson Polymer Processing Systems believe in its capabilities and our ability to process it – no matter its state. We handle virgin polymers as well as recycled materials. We process it in its pure and its compounded form. We master it when sensitive to changes in temperature, moisture, and pressure or when it comes in large or small quantities.

Our brands share a 110+ year legacy of handling polymers. Thousands of our systems manage the melt stream with all its perks, helping customers create high-quality end products for various industries.

Preparing and shaping polymer melt – that is what we do at Nordson BKG. It almost does not matter which product is manufactured; it is always essential that the used polymer is clean and well mixed. We ensure that the polymer melt has the right pressure, reaches the components at the right place and time, and is cut into perfect pellets in a smooth and sustainable process.

We at Nordson BKG manufacture innovative melt delivery and underwater pelletizing systems. Our product portfolio ranges from polymer valves, and gear pumps to various screen changers and pelletizers, as well as pyrolysis cleaning ovens.

Plastic needs to be more sustainable. This call is louder than ever, and governments react with new laws, regulations, taxes, and penalties. The overall goal is to reduce the amount of virgin plastics and push recycling.

Everyone handling polymers knows that little changes in the process can have a massive impact – and the shift from only virgin to high levels of recycled content is enormous, especially in blown film applications.

Our latest innovation, the BKG® HiCon™ K-SWE-HD/RS, is the perfect filter to conquer this challenge. Our proven backflush technology handles high contamination levels easily and will enable producers to comply with regional recycling laws.
Its small footprint and vertical installation perfectly fit into blown film lines, and its overall design allows easy cleaning and maintenance.
The pressure-controlled venting start and the automated backflushing provide highest pressure consistency in a high-pressure environment, ensuring film quality at the highest level.

Running alongside the exhibition was the Compounding World Expo and Plastics Recycling World Expo conference, where speakers demonstrated their expertise on the biggest issues facing the industry and their predictions for the future.
